       Ms. Faria obtained her bachelor of science degree

in Business Administration from the University of Washington

with Honors in 1993. In 1997, Ms. Faria obtained her Juris

Doctorate, cum laude, from Seattle University. During her

second year in law school, Ms. Faria acted as a research

assistant for Associate Dean/Corporations Professor Eric

Chiapinelli and she received published recognition.

In her third year, Ms. Faria attended the University of Hawaii

as a visiting student where she acted as a research assistant

for Professor John Van Dyke and Sherry Broder working on

Hawaiian issues.

       Ms. Faria’s practice consists mainly of civil litigation, primarily at the trial level, for both plaintiff and defendants. On the plaintiff side, the Firm has obtained multimillion dollar recoveries for both individual and class action clients. We have also obtained defense verdicts and rulings in cases ranging from fraud to legal malpractice, where the damages at issue were alleged to be in excess of $150 million.

       Ms, Faria is a member of the Hawaii and American Bar Associations and was admitted to the Hawaii State and Federal Courts in 1997. Ms. Faria was a law clerk to the now deceased Honorable John S. W. Lim, Judge of the Hawaii Appellate Court. Ms. Faria acts as an arbitrator for the First Circuit Court Annexed Arbitration Program. In 2010, Ms. Faria was awarded the prestigious Top 40 Under 40 Leaders by Pacific Business News.

 

         When time allows, Ms. Faria enjoys paddling, outrigger canoe sailing, hiking, biking, surfing and most recently foiling.   Her 17 year old son and three Labrador retrievers have fun playing with her from mauka to makai, but the labs take a pass on the biking.
